Welcome to Travis Kinkade Online. This little corner of the web contains stories and poems that I’ve written under my name or my nom de plume. Feel free to send feedback. Any helpful hints or suggestions are appreciated. And if you just want to say hi, or that you enjoyed a certain story, feel free to do that too.
Some of my stories have been submitted to publishers, but none have been published, yet. I am still rather new at the writing game. I’ve only been at it for a few years and even then I only write when I have time, which is sparse.
If you’re interested in writing too I do have a little advice to pass along. Make notes. Lots of notes. If an idea pops into your head, don’t count on your memory to recall it later. It doesn’t always work. I make countless notes to remind myself of ideas I’ve had. And I’ve had a number of ideas slip away because I “thought” I could remember. Make notes!!
Another helpful tip. Don’t tell your story before it’s written down. You may be quite excited and anxious to share with a friend, but once you tell it out you may find you don’t have quite the same zeal to put it on paper.
Off all the stories I’ve posted so far “Grave Robber” is my favorite, and my newest. It went the furthest in my attempt to have it published. I tend to lean toward the Sci-Fi genre, but I like trying other areas too. I do have a flair for wit and I am in the midst of an adventure/comedy story, which I must start plugging away at again.
